Moment of Contact (2022) – Produced by the Filmmaker James Fox “The Phenomenon” director which was covering a hardly known case in the US but very well known in Brazil regarding a 1996 UFO Crash in Varginha.
James Fox has devoted much of his career to digging into stories of UFO sightings and alien encounters, with his credits including Out of the Blue, I Know What I Saw, and The Phenomenon. After “The Phenomenon”, a UFO documentary – built around the “unavoidable fact” that aliens are real. Now filmmaker James Fox is back with a follow-up that explores that anti-skeptical thesis through a more international lens, delving into “the Roswell of Brazil.” It’s called Moment of Contact.
The “Moment of Contact”, is an exploration of terrestrial events encounters in 1996, when victims of Varginha, Brazil, in an extra series of events of Varginha and Três Corações, as well as a series of a stranger creatures and a UFO crash.
Local residents, including a group of girls aged between 14 and 21 at the time, had a close encounter with a being described as being about five feet tall, with a brown oily skin, a large head and huge red eyes. The city of Varginha was isolated by the military and emergency teams and more than one creature were captured.
Local military policeman Marco Eli Chereze died under mysterious circumstances after allegedly handling one of the creatures. Fox’s documentary features interviews with key eyewitnesses, experts, and officials, including nuclear physicist and professional ufologists.
