In Honor of the Plenary, ufologists demand release of UFOs Documents

Last year was a breakthrough time for UFOs, as a landmark government report prompted the possibility of extraterrestrial visitors to finally be taken seriously by everyone from senators, to a former president, to the Pentagon.

However, the year of 2022 is even more profound, experts say, as the clamor for UFO disclosure and discovery continues to grow, and as new scientific projects bring us closer than ever to – potentially – discovering non-Earth life.

Although, Brazil has become the latest country to take action on “Unidentified Flying Objects” (UFOs), with the Brazilian Senate held its first-ever public hearing on June 24.

The date was created from an event that occurred on June 24, 1947, when Kenneth Arnold, an American aviator who claimed to see what he called “Flying Saucers” over Mount Rainier, in Washington State.

In the weeks and months following the event, Arnold gave a series of interviews to the US press conference. In a conversation with the Chicago Times, on July 7, 1947, the aviator talks about the possibility that those “Flying Saucers” were guided by beings from another planet. After this fact, a number of other sighting’s reports of “Unidentified Flying Objects” began to emerge.

Yet, after many years, finally came the long-awaited day for the UFO community. The year of 2022 had the 1st public UFO hearing in the USA and Brazil over 50 years.

The US Congress held a hearing on (UFOs) and its impacts on national security, while Brazil had a wide repercussion as it coincided with the anniversary of the so-called “Night of the UFOs in Brazil”, an event that unfolded on May 19th 1986, and lasted for over several hours in which a whopping 21 UFOs were sighted by multiple witnesses, both civilian and military, in four states: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Goiás.

The 75th anniversary of the World Day of Ufology – a branch of researchers on “Unidentified Flying Objects” (UFOs) and related phenomena – was celebrated by the Senate on Friday (24), at 10am in Brasília, Brasil.

Senator Eduardo Girão, the author of the request, gave rise to the session in the Plenary. The event brought together Brazilian ufologists and international visitors who, among other topics, spoke about the processes of opening confidential information about “Unidentified Flying Objects” that take place in Brazil and, in parallel, in other nations, mainly in the USA.

The ufologist guests: Thiago Ticchetti MUFON Director of Brazil, Inajar Antonio Kurowski police officer and criminal expert at the Criminalistics Institution of Paraná, Rony Vernet electronic engineer – Author of the Project Monitoring Phenomena that occur at Serra da Beleza, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Ademar José Gevaerd revista ufo editor, Geraldo Lemos Neto the president of the “Casa de Chico Xavier” in the city of Pedro Leopoldo, Jackson Luis Camargo special analyst of official documentation, Wilson Pickler UNINTER founder, Gary Heseltine retired Royal Air Force Police – vice president of ICER (International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research), Robert Lambert Salas American ufo researcher.

Ufologists have perpetual faith in the imminence of Disclosure, a term of art for the government’s rapturous confession of its profound knowledge on U.F.O.

The press conference lasted “five hours approximately” Here is just to name a few Brazilian ufologists speech:

“The event in the Brazilian Senate was a historic landmark for national and world ufology. The cases presented made it clear that a serious investigation by the Brazilian authorities is necessary. Our intention is not only to end the UFO cover-up in our country, but also to create a civil-military group to scientifically investigate the UFO Phenomenon, said Thiago Ticchetti – MUFON Director of Brazil”.

“Brazil was the first country in the world to recognize flying objects and their extraterrestrial life. Since then, the country has been making many open commissions, but so far it wasn’t open to the public. From then on, Brazil has made many UFO search organizations by the Military Force, being very respected by the society. It was not a secret, but discrete indeed. One of the most important was in 1969 called “ Non Identified Objects Investigation System” (SIOANI). In that moment of our history happened an expansion of UFOs studies and as I said before, the group wasn’t hidden but discreet because the country was under the military dictatorship.  Which, the American military authority did things illegally but the (SIOANI) came to offer many positive results and Today these documents about Brazilian UFOs are open to public visitation at the National Public Library in Brasilia and some in Rio de Janeiro as well. It’s really important to let people know how Brazil is an open country about UFOs subject and studies, said Ademar Gevaerd.”

“We hope the research will be complemented by scientific fomentation approaches to the study of phenomena that arouse the curiosity from all of us and have the potential to transform  the world as we know it, in cultural, anthropological, sociological and technological terms, said RONY Vernet.”

“I would say many Ufologists don’t know how to use all the available tools, from all the methodologies and science variety, said Inajar Antonio Kurowski.”

Brazil emerges in this scenario as the first nation to officially admit that UFOs do indeed exist and have extraterrestrial origins. This took place at a meeting open to society, the militaries and the press conference that took place at the Escola Superior de Guerra (ESG), in Rio de Janeiro 1954, when the Air Force Captain João Adil de Oliveira declared to those present the reality of these flying objects and its advanced technological features. After reporting dozens of cases of contacts, including abductions and paranormal phenomena involving extraterrestrial life forms, the guests delivered to Senator Eduardo Girão, at the end of the session, a Letter from Brasília, in which the ufologists recommended the creation of a permanent mixed commission, civil and military, so that it is feasible to carry out organized research on the subject.

The justification of his request, the Senate Girão mentions Humanity’s historical interest in the existence of life on other planets – a hypothesis he considers statistically probable – and its possible correlation with certain sightings that the US Armed Forces call “Unexplained Aerial Phenomena ”. He condemned the “taboo” of international authorities on the subject and praised the role of ufology practitioners, who, according to him, carry out the investigation and dissemination work that should be the government’s responsibilities.

Gary Heseltine, who is a retired police officer and vice president of ICER (International for Extraterrestrial Research), said that the topic has to be co-executive worldwide. According to him, the world population has been deceived and prevented from knowing the truth for decades. He gave examples of demonstrably seen objects, such as in 1942, in the midst of World War II, during an air raid on Turin, Italy.

“I got large, cylindrical, sophisticated, technological 1942, perfected… Can you find this in any craft journal? No”. Now, 80 years later, we still don’t have a machine that goes 500 miles per hour, that doesn’t have wings, doesn’t have a tail, and doesn’t have a propulsion system. Let’s wake up! This is real – said the expert, who scheduled the session of the Senate.

After NASA placed the Hubble Space Telescope in orbit, in the 90s, humanity had to totally reassess its perspective on the universe, Senator Eduardo Girão solemnly declared.

The special guests had an excellent speech, pointing out what is most important, asking the government to take it more seriously when the subject is about “Unexplained Aerial Phenomena” (UAPs).

The Government of Brazil

For some time, the UFOs collection is the most visited in the National Archive of Brazil and UFOs were also the most frequent subject on information requests made to the Brazilian Government after Law 12,527, Brazil’s Freedom of Information Act (LAI), was enacted in May of 2012.

Immediately after the law went into effect, the public authorities faced a rush for information about UFOs, with 37 requests for access to information about the matter, leading the Brazilian Air Force to transfer most of its documents on UFOs to the National Archive.

The first request for access to information about UFOs was made the day after LAI came into effect, on 17/05/2012, ten years ago. It was a request asking for access to all documents on UFOs. The answer was that the documents were already being transferred to the National Archive.

The “Unidentified Flying Objects” (UFOs) collection remains the most visited in the National Archive of Brazil to this day. The collection presents photos, videos, audios and documents ranging from reports of people who have allegedly sighted UFOs to reports of trips in spaceships.

With the transfer of the documents to the National Archive, it became known that Brazil had an Unidentified Aerial Object Investigation System – SIOANI, created in 1969 to scientifically investigate apparently supernatural UFO phenomena.

On May 19, 1986, 21 unidentified flying objects, some of them up to 100 meters in diameter, were sighted by multiple witnesses, both civilian and military, in four states: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Goiás.

The UFOs were also detected by radars from the Brazilian Air Force’s Integrated Center for Air Defense and Air Traffic Control. Five Brazilian Air Force fighter jets were activated by the Air Defense Operations Center to intercept the alleged invaders.

“Sometimes, the pilots had visual contact with the targets, but the radars did not register anything. Other times, the radars even picked up the presence of objects, but the pilots could not see them. The Air Force considered only the sightings that had simultaneous confirmation” , said Sérgio Mota, flight controller.

On May 23, 1986, at 4:30 pm, the then Minister of Aeronautics, Brigadier Octávio Júlio Moreira Lima, called a press conference to inform the press that five FAB fighter jets chased 21 UFOs.

“It’s not about whether or not you believe [in extraterrestrial beings or flying saucers]. We can only give technical information. There are several assumptions. Technically, I would tell you that we have no explanation,” he declared at the time.

At the end of the press conference, which was attended by the five FAB pilots and the flight controllers who were on duty that night, the Minister of Aeronautics declared that the episode would be investigated and that, within 30 days, he would publish a complete dossier.

Only 23 years later, on September 25, 2009, a report on the case, signed by the interim Air Force Command (COMDA) José Pessoa Cavalcanti de Albuquerque and dated June 2, 1986, was released.

“This Command is of the opinion that the phenomena are solid and reflect, in a certain way, intelligence, due to the ability to follow and maintain a distance from observers, as well as to fly in formation, not necessarily manned”, said the dossier.

Final Considerations

As ufologists, it is our role to put our questions and our knowledge to use and apply them to ufology research. Based on direct observations, in the presence of evidence, and on the nature of the facts presented, we can ascertain the veracity of the stories reported. Ufology is in absolutely everything, this part is meant for presenting new findings, related to already existing knowledge.

We must reconcile science with consciousness to better understand the mysteries of our existence, our planet and what exists beyond it. Perhaps, we, human beings, could actually be inching towards the unification of the whole, meaning that all scientific research and other areas of studies, working jointly, will be able to reach the long-awaited answer, in the manner of a puzzle coming together. We are all together on this tireless journey of knowledge in search of truth and evolution. Also, based on her investigations, the number of reported alien abductions has risen, and they have been living among humans since the beginning of creation. According to Fernanda Pires, ufology is in absolutely everything. It’s in our DNA. Studying ufology is to discover human existence itself.
